Copp and Roslovic both get time at centre and wing. Searching for line combos or showcasing? Anyone know what scouts were attending? |

Hey Ross77, I really like your idea from last thread!
Here is what a good deal for Subban would look like.
To WPG: PK Subban (2 million per year retained), 2020 first round pick (the worst of the three they have)
To NJ: Mathieau Perreault, 2020 third round pick

I think I would rather give up more and have them retain more, But I like the concept |

NJ has 30 million in cap space next year. Why are they going to pay for someone to take Subban off their hands?

Would the extra cap space not it make it easier for NJ to retain salary? |

Yes but there is no financial pressure for them to deal subban. They can keep him as easily as anyone. The only reason to deal him would be if they have lost all confidence that he can bounce back or if they really like the return - it won’t be a dump |

I absolutley love hip checks and strongly endorse the defensive technique.
I must have missed that during the game but caught it in the recap! |

kulikov takes a lot of criticism for his performance and 4.5m (?) / top 4 salary. I like him as a #5/6 for about 2-2.5m if that is an option. It is the consistent physicality, skating ability and athleticism.

Can we get another writer, honestly I can read the paper if I need a game recap. |

I would prefer to read some more statistical analysis as well. But as long as Wesley is happy, he doesn't care what you think. |

Apparently Vincent Trochek is also available. He could be had for cheap as Florida desperately wants to shed salary as they are hard against the cap. I think the following deal can work for both teams:
To WPG: Vincent Trochek
To FLA: Kristian Vesalainen |

I’d do it they retained more (they can afford to retain half)
Why not get crazy, include Lowry for wood
Then flip connor to the Avs for byrum, and a first.
The we would have three first rounders in what they are calling a great first round!!! |

Florida wants D, maybe we can talk them into a slightly used Logan stanley?

Those moves first require a GM to have cahunnas. Unfortunately Chevy is to busy taking days off to make them happen. |

I worry about the Jets giving up too much now for a run in which they may make the playoffs. If they squeak in they are a long shot to win a round. Any serious moves should take place at the draft and for UFA on July 1st. At that time they can address their need for a 1/2 d-man a true #2 center and a solid 3/4 d-man. See as how well the Jets new 3rd line of Roslovic, Harkins and Appleton can do together until the end of the season as they can make a solid 3/4 line. The Jets have too many players that shouldn't be in the NHL playing this season. |

Give them Niku. There's no future for him in Winnipeg. |

if the opportunity is there to do some shaping of the roster then do it. If the perfect 1/2 dman is there do it. if its a center who is available then do it. I agree that this isn't the time time try and force a fit where there may not be one - so don't do it. |

I suggested PK in Friday Feb9th blog, which you didn’t bother to comment on, but clearly saw.
Throw it out as your idea two blogs later and have plenty to say about it then eh?
Loud and Clear UJ. Got it. |

What he said. - Pastor_Matt
what are you looking for from the articles? Wesley is obviously a young journalist still cutting his chops and doubtful he has access to Elliot Friedman's contact list.
His writing touches on a few highlights, he gives a few opinions (some have stirred a little controversy - good) and the forum goes on. Its better than the manufactured rumors elsewhere on hockeybuzz.
By the way... what did you preach about this morning? as you judge so you shall be judged? get the plank out of your own eye first? |

If I recall correctly Mr. Ate Me, every time I have suggested Subban, you have crapped on that idea. I could be wrong though.
But I do know this, I did not realize that the Jets have close to 23 million in salary cap space for this year alone, hence adding Subban would be easier. If Chevy does not use it to help out his team, I really question his will to win. |
